The TNO Medialab sits at the 10th floor of the TNO main office in The Hague. Here, we are working on developing innovative technology where we bridge the gap between academia and industry. As a part of the Networks department, we focus on research for applications of network technologies in the media domain. On the academia side, topics of our research includes 5G, adaptive (media) Streaming, media orchestration and Social VR. Within industry, we often collaborate with telecom operators, broadcasters and other media companies.

In this talk, I will provide an overview of the activities and projects I’m involved in as a Junior Scientist at TNO, and what it’s like to study or work at TNO.
