Lunch lecture Benchmark
Product development at Benchmark Electronics is focused on producing high quality embedded devices. Where in the past these devices were limited to simple microcontrollers, they now sport full-fledged SOCs (System On a Chip) with multiple cores and numerous hardware interfaces . Concurrent with the rise in capability, the programming effort needed to use these devices is ever increasing. To reduce development time and increase reuse between projects we are using increasingly more embedded Linux. This talk will introduce some of the differences when programming for an embedded device and show how we are using embedded Linux within Benchmark Electronics.
