Lunch lecture Prodrive: Parsing, the functional way

Prodrive Technologies is a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of high-tech electronics, mechanics, robotics, computing and power products. But it is also a company with numerous embedded and application software engineering activities and competences. They are one of the relatively few so-called “industrial users” of Functional Programming, a fascinating and deep programming style based on solid foundations of Computer Science. During the lunch lecture, a software engineer from Prodrive will provide a small glimpse at what Functional Programming feels like for the well-known task of parsing. We will gradually develop a tiny parsing combinator library using the language F# while demonstrating the “functional way of thinking”.

Enrol for free lunch delivered to your home address (within Enschede and Hengelo). Attending without sign-up is allowed.
