Rioting against the ME

Because we as ICT professionals are known for our enormous muscles and incredible stamina, we have been invited again this year to help train the ME! We will act as the opposing party in a riot to help train the ME on how to handle these situations.

Why? The ME (English: riot police) often face challenging situations. To prepare them adequately for this, exercises such as this one are planned, where we as students can let off steam. So if you've ever secretly wanted to misbehave towards the police but haven't been able to do so for various legal and moral reasons, this is your chance!

Where?

This year, the exercise will take place here at Twente Airport. This should be within cycling distance for most people, so we will cycle there together. More information will follow later by email. Lunch will be provided for us.

Risks

It must be said that this event is not without risks. Just like in the real world, the police must control a riot with as little violence as possible. If some rioters do not behave, they may have to use force. So the rule during this event is simple: “what you give, you can expect in return.”
