Lunch Lecture: Picnic
We are welcoming back a familiar face at Inter-Actief: Lindsay Kempen (board 39, active member, and former symposia host). She is returning to her home grounds to reveal the engineering powering the tech-first supermarket Picnic.
As a senior Software Developer, Lindsay specializes in orchestrating high-throughput processes within Picnic’s massive automated warehouses. In this role, abstract code meets physical reality, directly controlling kilometers of conveyors to ensure your groceries move seamlessly from A to B — which eventually end up at your doorstep.
Lunch Lectures case: How do you optimize plans to protect bread and eggs in a complex automated environment? Join us and see for yourself, can you solve the puzzle?
Tech's answer to groceries. Picnic, modern milkman delivering with a smile!
At Picnic, we’ve been revolutionizing the way people buy their groceries since 2015 – and we’ve come a long way since then. We provide our rapidly-growing customer base with an affordable and sustainable service through cutting-edge technology, efficient planning, and a fleet of electric vehicles.
Unfortunately, you cannot enroll for this activity anymore, as the enrollment period has ended.
