In November, Career Services, in collaboration with the Alumni Office, organizes two student career events!

Career Café

Date: 12 and 14 November 2024, time: 16:00 – 18.00 PM

Are you looking into the possibilities after graduation, are you curious about the companies where the UT alumni ended up and how their careers progressed. Come to the Career Café. In the Career Cafe you meet UT alumni from all over the world, who would love to share their tips on getting the (maybe) perfect job. In an informal setting, the alumni talk about their own experiences in the search for a job. Meet these alumni and learn from their career stories.

In the online café on November 12, you can meet the UT alumni who work outside the region. In the physical cafe on November 14, you will meet UT alumni who work in the region.

Alumni and students will meet in small groups (max 4 students) and you may ask questions such as:

• How did you get your first job?

• Did you encounter any pitfalls in searching for a job?

• Which skills are most important in your job?

Interested? You can easily register via our website. After October 27 you will receive additional information about the alumni and how to choose the alumni you prefer talking to during the sessions.

Workshop Your Future Career – Inspiration & Skills with young alumni

Date: 28 November, time: 12.15 - 15.15 PM

The  Young Alumni Network (YAN), in collaboration with UT Career Services, is bringing you the latest trends and essential skills needed to prepare for challenging job opportunities. Learn from young alumni who have recently navigated the early stages of their careers in the Netherlands. They are familiar with current trends, expectations, and challenges in the job market.

This interactive workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from recently graduates who’ve successfully launched their careers. By the end of this interactive session, you’ll have a clearer sense of your career direction, how to present yourself to employers, and practical strategies for networking and interview preparation.
