In the world of Software Development there are nowadays basically two main requirements on applications: they should be as fast as possible and changes should be available as fast as possible. During this Lunch Lecture Bob van de Vijver (former UT-student) will talk about two subjects that can be used to achieve these goals, namely Apache Ignite and Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD).

The first subject, Apache Ignite, can speed up your application by using the available machine memory and processing power from a complete machine cluster, effectively making cluster computation and storage easy accessible. The lecture will focus on the key details of this technology, and show a simple application.

The second subject, CI/CD, can be used to deploy your changes directly when ready, however, there are enough caveats. The lecture will mainly focus on the possibilities and recommendations to take into account for when you will start with CI/CD .
