What are your responsibilities?

  • As a software tester you help with the manual testing of our software in a DevOps environment with the aim of detecting any defects in the software at an early stage.
  • Using use cases and scenarios, you monitor the software in terms of functionality, user-friendliness, performance and security.
  • You do this in close collaboration with your colleagues in a multidisciplinary team of developers, testers and operators.
  • If you have mastered manual testing and have gotten to know our software, we can also teach you how to automate testing smartly with tools such as Selenium and Cypress.

What do we ask for?

You enjoy working in a team but are also perfectly capable of working independently. In addition, it is no problem for you to quickly build up the necessary domain knowledge and master new technologies. You will first try to find a solution yourself with self-reliance, but you will also ask for help within your team in time if that does not work. Enthusiasm, stubbornness, perseverance and drive are qualities that are tattooed on your forehead (not necessarily literally).

Joost Diepenmaat en Edwin Vlieg (eigenaren Moneybird) kwamen er als studenten in 2008 in de praktijk achter dat de administratie een groot deel van je tijd opslokt. Ze hadden een pakket nodig waarin eenvoudig facturen gemaakt en verstuurd konden worden. Het ideale pakket was niet te vinden, dus besloten ze deze zelf te bouwen.

Hi, we are Traverse Automotive from Breda, The Netherlands. A spin-off of Traverse Research fully focussed on simulations for autonomous vehicles.

Traverse Research was founded by Jasper Bekkers as a research company for chip manufacturers and game development. Traverse Automotive got spun up out of an existing successful project. We created the spin-off to facilitate our growing clientele better.

We’re happy to start Traverse Automotive on the same foundation as we did Traverse Research, very short communication lines to facilitate a pleasant atmosphere in the office in Breda and while working from home. For Traverse Automotive, we are currently looking for a Software or Rendering Engineer interested in automotive and specifically the development of autonomous vehicles. You’ll mainly be working with Unreal Engine 5, rendering, LiDAR, light simulation and time of flight calculations, as well as our in-house rendering platform.

Together we’ll be working on building cutting edge rendering technology used in this field. This is primarily done in C++ and for a small part in Rust (experience with Rust is not necessary - we realize it’s a relatively new language and you’ll have time to grow and learn).

The right person for this job will play a critical role in this new project's execution and technical development and will work very closely with our clients. They would be interested in high-performance software, machine learning, cloud rendering and photorealistic rendering. Experience in one of these fields is welcome, although not required.

You will keep the clients informed to ensure the platform to be developed is in line with their expectations, technically produces the best possible photorealistic images and performs optimally.

We drive innovation and are running ahead at the forefront of our industry, and as such we’re not just looking at what you have done, but we’re also looking for your vision.

Examples of responsibilities are

  • Collaborate closely with our clients to make sure the project runs smoothly.
  • Building and maintaining our Real-Time Raytracing modifications to Unreal Engine 5.
