Witteveen+Bos workshop: Simulation-based design for sustainable & circular power

Witteveen+Bos will host a workshop on using simulation to design a sustainable and circular power plant. In this workshop, we will be simulating “De Energiefabriek”, the wastewater power plant in Hengelo that cleans sewage water and generates heat & electricity from the remaining sludge. We have turned our simulator into a puzzle game where you need to use your academic computer science skills to solve the puzzles and optimize the simulation. This is an example of how at Witteveen+Bos as a computer scientist you can use your skills to help solve complex societal and environmental problems.

As computer scientists, we co-develop digital engineering solutions. We work together with engineers to understand the challenge at hand and to determine how IT can be used in the most effective way.
