Want to do (part) of your study or internship abroad? Visit the Let’s GO! Study/Internship Abroad Fair to learn about possibilities for study, internship and research abroad.

International partner universities and UT faculty representatives will be attending the fair as well, and you will be able to get information about scholarships and practical preparation.

Let’s GO! is a free event organized by International Office to inform UT students about possibilities for studying abroad, what to do when arranging an international internship and how to get funding from the UT or other organizations. Additionally, UT students who have already been abroad will be sharing their stories with you as well.

The 2017 edition of the Let's Go takes place on the 21st of November 2017, from 10.00 to 14.00, at the DesignLab of the University of Twente. For more information about Let’s GO!, contact International Office: letsgo@utwente.nl and have a look at the photos of the previous event.

For its more ambitious students, the University of Twente offers an interesting honours programme which challenges the students to show their best.

The programme starts every year in February and is for the top 10% of each study only. In nearly one and a half year you follow a programme of 30 EC next to your regular bachelor programme. As the programme is open for all bachelors, you will work in an interdisciplinary group of excellent and motivated students. During the course, you will be intensively guided and tutored by a specially chosen group of scientists with different backgrounds and disciplines.

Voor het vak Operating Systems heeft Inter-Actief een basiscursus programmeren in C gegeven. Het materiaal en de video-opname zijn hier beschikbaar.

De C-cursus wordt hoofdzakelijk gegeven om studenten te helpen met de opdrachten van Operating Systems, maar het kan door iedereen gebruikt worden als startpunt voor programmeren in C. De gefilmde cursus bevat ook een praktisch deel. Om het maximale uit de cursus te halen, kun je de opgaven maken die door het hoorcollege heen opkomen. Hiervoor moet je GCC kunnen draaien (https://gcc.gnu.org/). De makkelijkste manier is een Linux-distributie op een USB-stick te zetten, bijvoorbeeld Ubuntu m.b.v. unetbootin: https://unetbootin.github.io/. Zorg ervoor dat je vanaf je USB-stick op Ubuntu kan opstarten.

Daarnaast is iedereen van harte uitgenodigd om bij de More Than a Degree award show te zijn, waar o.a. Heleen en de Pandora-commissie uitgelicht zullen worden. Deze show vindt plaats in de Waaier op vrijdag 20 oktober 16:00-19:00, met een borrel.

De opleidingscommissie van TCS is op zoek naar Nederlandse studenten die betaald notulen willen maken van hun vergaderingen.

Gezocht student(en) voor een notuleerfunctie voor de OLC van Informatica. BOZ (Bureau Onderwijszaken) blijft wel het aanspreekpunt voor de OLC en wij verzorgen en verzamelen verder alles. Het gaat dus puur om het maken / uitwerken van de notulen.

We zoeken studenten die geïnteresseerd zijn, bij voorkeur studenten die ervaring hebben met het maken van (Engelstalige) notulen en de studie Technische Informatica volgen (i.v.m. kennis). Je mag geen lid zijn van de OLC-IT. Het gaat om ongeveer 11 vergaderingen per jaar en er staat een vergoeding tegenover. De vergaderingen zijn één keer per maand en altijd op dinsdagochtend. Je krijgt een UT flex aanstelling en kunt je gewerkte uren declareren.

Het College van Bestuur en faculteiten van de Universiteit Twente werken aan een nieuw leersysteem van de universiteit onder de naam Learning2020: Student Driven & Technology.

Hierbij is de mening van de student uiteraard onmisbaar. Laat je stem horen! Deze enquête betreft belangrijke universiteitbrede onderwerpen zoals de campus, beoordeling & studiemateriaal en technologie in het klaslokaal.

Op 5 september 2017 is het 39e bestuur der I.C.T.S.V. Inter-Actief aangesteld.

De samenstelling van het bestuur is als volgt:

As of the academic year 2017-2018, the registration for the final semester modules Design Project and Research Project takes place via a web form.

You can register for a final semester module till two weeks before the start of the module. For the module Design Project Q1 2017-2018 the registration deadline is Sunday August 20th 24:00 hour.

After you have registered, the bureau of educational affairs (BOZ) will check whether you fulfill the pre-requisites for the final semester module. The pre-requisites are you have completed all compulsory modules plus your elective module (120 EC excluding ECs minor modules).

If you have fulfilled this requirement, BOZ will enroll you for the module you have registered. If you are in the process of completing your last module, the programme coordinator will check with the module coordinator if you are expected to pass this module, before approving enrollment for the final semester module.

If you are not expected to pass your last compulsory module and as a result experience a (large) gap in your study plan, contact your study adviser.

The programme management will send its intended Binding Recommendations to its first-year students per e-mail around August 13th. Hearings can be requested for negative BRs.

If you feel you have wrongfully received a negative Binding Recommendation, you can request a hearing by the programme management within 5 working days after the date you have received the Binding Recommendation. You can send your application to: secr_ow@utwente.nl.

The hearings will take place on Thursday August 24th. The hearing committee will inform you about your final Binding Recommendation no later than Friday August 25th. The decision could be to maintain the negative Binding Recommendation or a revised positive Binding Recommendation.

In case of personal circumstances, we would like to remind you of the 1 July deadline for applying for an assessment of your personal circumstances by the Committee Personal Circumstances (CPO). Please check the procedure on the website of the CPO.
